Mulan Styles

Mulan is a refined and graceful style of Kung Fu created especially for women. Developed in 2000 by Ying Meifeng, thousands of people across China and other countries such as Japan and America practice this style for fitness, health and self-expression.

Mulanquan was named after the ancient Chinese heroine Hua Mulan, who disguised herself as a man in order to fight for her country. Ying Meifeng based the art on a combination of Huajiaquan (an ancient martial art featuring dance movements), basic Tai Chi moves and principles and Qigong.

Practising Mulan can help practitioners to lose weight, regulate the metabolism, improve circulation and help with cardiovascular difficulties and joint problems. It also helps develop internal power. Training consists of empty-hand forms and weapon forms with a single sword, fan, and double fans and swords.
